Recap
Grey United faced off against Paroa in the later kick-off, knowing that a win for Paroa would have sealed the First Round Trophy. As it transpired, Grey United found their scoring form as well, winning 4-0, to leapfrog Paroa to the top of the table. Mona Andreas scored not only his first ever goal for the club, but also found the net for the second time in the first half. A calmly placed penalty for Christ Wong was also a first for the club on his 90-minute debut. Kalum Martinus, Grey United’s player of the day, wrapped up the scoring with the fourth in the second half. Paroa battled well and Matt Wakeford, Paroa’s player of the day, kept the pressure on up front, but the Grey United defence held strong.
