The Dragons faced Westland United in a top of the table clash in the only women’s game this weekend. Both sides were on six points before the game kicked off, and while there are still six more rounds to go, a win would have put either side in a very strong position. The Dragons hadn’t failed to win a game this season, but they were up against a Westland side that hasn’t conceded a goal so far in the main championship. As fate would have it, they played out an entertaining 0-0 draw, to once again leave goal difference as the only factor separating both sides. Ngawai Tahu, of Westland, and Belle Boyle, of the Goblins, were the two players of the day.
